William James Menech, Facilitator and Owner at Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat
The dedicated facilitator and owner of Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat is William James Menech. Many people have found hope, transformation, and more significant meaning through his dedication and service.
William, born in New York City in 1969, has been on a spiritual quest since an early age, exploring the secrets of existence from various spiritual and scientific perspectives. His spiritual journey brought him through various spiritual paths and teachings, each expanding his consciousness and widening his perception of the divine. William has always felt a deep connection to spirit, a relationship and light he feels everyone contains. At 30, his path led him to an introduction to shamanic healing modalities, where he realized his path was to help others in suffering. He learned natural treatment modalities such as herbalism and became skilled in treating numerous ailments with medicinal plants. In 2005, he traveled to Iquitos, Peru, to further explore his relationship with Mother Ayahuasca, Grandfather Huachuma, and the traditional wisdom of the Amazon Jungle.
Experience and Credentials:
William’s credentials are produced from extensive experiences with thirteen master Ayahuasceros, three Huachumeros, three Tobaqueros, and several other advanced spiritual healers. His training is constant, a lifelong devotion to spiritual learning, and an expression of his heart’s desire to serve people, all with Mother Ayahuasca and Grandfather Huachuma under Divine direction. He’s had over 300 insightful ceremonies with Ayahuasca and over 150 ceremonies with San Pedro Cactus (Huachuma), enhancing his comprehension and ability to manage these extraordinary ceremonies. Since the inception of Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat in 2012, William has facilitated healing for people from all walks of life, all while fostering a safe, caring, and authentic environment for healing.
Passion and Motivation:
William’s passion for Ayahuasca and holistic healing is rooted in love. This divine love motivates us to cure the heart’s pain. He is motivated and compelled to see others overcome their suffering and cultivate a spirit of gratitude, love, and humility. His objective is not for admiration or acknowledgment but for the collaborative development and healing journey that he shares with each guest. He founded Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat to provide a safe haven for people to experience true healing on levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. This purpose of love, shared learning, and community is one of the main motivating factors that drives William and shapes the retreat experiences.
Approach and Philosophy:
William approaches Ayahuasca and Huachuma ceremonies and holistic healing with seriousness, love, support, and a dash of humor. His guiding precept centers around unconditional love, Mother Ayahuasca, and Grandfather Huachuma, acknowledging them as a conduit connected to the Creator and everything else, with the power to guide and teach the children of the light and earth. He believes in nonjudgment and unconditional love and strives to create an environment where each individual is welcomed with understanding and acceptance. Along with Ayahuasca, William integrates San Pedro Cactus wisdom, Grandfather Huachuma, in the San Pedro Cactus ceremonies. He continuously collaborates with the shamans and the healer, Viviane, to address the different needs of those who come to heal.
William’s dedication and commitment to the participants are more than just parts he performs; they represent the essence of his life’s choice. He gave up the comforts of his life in the United States, brought his family to the jungle, and dedicated his life to assisting people in healing and connecting with the divine nature. His top goal is the well-being of participants, assuring their mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical safety, all of which echo the experiences of many who have had remarkable transformations through his support, which he does not claim as his own doing but resides inside each individual.
On several levels, William stands out due to his extensive experience and authenticity. William James Menech, the facilitator and owner of Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat, aspires to be an understanding guide who assists many people on their journeys to healing and understanding. William, who is no stranger to suffering and healing, brings further insight, sensitivity, and compassion to his work. Despite his great deal of experience and findings, he acknowledges that he is still growing and healing daily, emphasizing that no one, including himself, is perfect.
His life is a memorial to a more extensive journey driven by inspiration to communicate hope, transformation, and a sense of divine connectedness to the world and beyond, reflecting unconditional love. The retreat is a sanctuary of tranquility and empathy, where divine love, ancient wisdom, and profound healing converge to form a beautiful environment that connects with the essence of all who enter Kawsay. William and everyone in this sanctuary move forward on a transforming journey, exploring the depths of their inner being and discovering divine grace.
